Program Description:
This is a four-level English program. Each level has been developed as a complete syllabus including objectives, lesson plans (featuring teaching strategies, student activities, supplemental charts, etc.), and assessments. Student texts have been provided to accompany the syllabus for each level. 这是一个分为四级的英语课程。每个级别都有一个完整的课程表，包括目标，教案（教学策略，学生活动，补充表格等等），和评估。每个级别的课程表都有学生测验。

Breakdown of Objectives by Level
I. Beginning Level 初级 (Day 2-4)
Students will:

ESL课程介绍

ESL（English as a Second Language ）是以英语学习为第二种语言学习的专业英文课程，是美国语言学校所有课程中最通用的课程，是在进入美国大学之前首先需要达到的语言能力要求。在美国从小学到大学都开设有ESL课程。学生在能与以英语为母语的学生们一起上课之前，可利用该课程改善自身的英语能力。在这个课程中，你将会学到全方位的英语，包括听，说，读，写的练习技巧，以及从每天的生活中加深对英语国家的文化的了解。
    ESL课程由具有深厚理论功底和丰富ESL教学经验的美国教育专家结合中国学生学习英语的实际情况，编写了适合中国学生学习的全新ESL教材。同时聘请具有教育学学历的美国教师任教。ESL课程使学生完全置身于全美国教师，美国最新教材的全美式教学环境中。

ESL课程设置

ESL课程以高强度训练使学生逐步提高听力技能，熟识ESL考试中经常出现的听力题型。中级班的学生应达到可以听懂ESL听力试题，并掌握答题技巧，以争取能理解相当复杂的英语； 高级班的学生应达到可以听懂有一定难度的情景对话并记录其主要内容，可很好的掌握争论的复杂细节。

ESL课程给学生创造一个生动的语言运用环境，并在课程中熟悉ESL考试中经常出现的对话情景，掌握和考官的对话技巧。中级班以对话练习为基础，着重锻炼学生清晰叙述事情的能力，达到通过考试的目的；高级班的教学侧重于训练学生表达较为复杂的观点，加强分析讨论的能力，使得学生在口试中能自如、精确的运用英语交流、表达，并能完全理解。其次，纠正发音和朗读练习将贯穿所有班级的整个教学，这样有助于学生掌握标准的语音语调，争取更高的分数。

ESL课程运用阶梯式教学法。根据学生的不同层次逐步提高阅读的难度。在学生课前阅读的基础上，教师通过课堂难点讲解，问题讨论，帮助学生加强对文章内容和结构特点的了解，增强学生对英文的“输出能力”。中级班的要点在于掌握阅读速度，能够迅速准确的找到相应的答案；高级班以大量的阅读为基础，开阔知识面，在快速阅读中了解文章的要点。

写作课程是对所学英文知识的综合运用训练。写作课以提高学生英语表达能力为目标，做到考试中抓住命题重点，清晰明确的作答。
